Atelier Glaz: a team of certified and seasoned framers
Claire Pandurkar, manager and principal framer, was awarded the Artisan d’Art title in 2014 when she opened Atelier Glaz. At the time, she had 8 years’ experience with 2 Maîtres-Encadreurs and 3 years’ diploma training beforehand.

The Chambre des Métiers et de l’Artisanat (CMA) awarded her the title of Maître Artisan Encadreur in 2024.
Atelier Glaz is renowned for its expertise, advice and attentiveness to the needs of a varied public.
Each subject to be framed is approached in relation to its particular context, the customer’s wishes, technical constraints and envisaged budget.
Our work speaks for itself: we invite you to view a selection of works in our gallery.
The framers in the workshop are:
- Creative: they offer contemporary or traditional aesthetic and technical solutions for a wide variety of subjects intended for different environments.
- Demanding: they define solutions and materials that comply with the rules for preserving works of art.
- Attentive: listening to the customer is necessary so that the framing is adapted to the work, the customer’s tastes, and the location where it will be hung.
- Patient: there are many technical issues to consider, and it is often necessary to start over.
- Resilient: this is a profession that requires precision, concentration, and considerable physical endurance : working while standing, carrying heavy and fragile loads, and handling sharp, heavy, bulky, and valuable tools and materials.
A diverse clientele:
Our varied portfolio of clients provides new perspective to Atelier Glaz framers every day and allows them to hone their skills.
Painters, Photographers, Art Galleries, Architects, Interior Decorators, Art Foundations, International Art Exhibitions, Art-Collectors, Communication Agencies, Companies, Municipalities and private individuals in France and abroad call upon Atelier Glaz for its professionalism and responsiveness.

Putting it all together at Atelier Glaz
Every project is conceived & completed at the Atelier. The guarantee of “Made in Montrouge at Atelier Glaz”, at the southern outskirt of Paris.
Framing is a labour of love and Atelier Glaz framers endeavour to deliver just that. Instead of elaborating the many minute details that go into a bespoke framing project, you can see a short video on our home page or read our perspectives on techniques & art.
Every piece of work done by Atelier Glaz bears our brand and our signature.
Your completed works are carefully stored in the workshop till you collect them.
We handle large formats up to 100 x 160 cm. For canvas framing, we handle stretcher bars in all custom sizes up to 200 x 300 cm. Beyond these dimensions, the frame assembly and the canvas mounting is provided as an onsite service.
On-time completion
For the majority of our clients, meeting deadlines is crucial. A completion
The required materials are delivered every week (glazing, mount boards, stretcher bars, wood and aluminium mouldings). So we generally stock everything needed to complete all our orders on time.
Depending on the workload and the particularity of the work to be accomplished, the speed of execution varies from 3 to 8 weeks.
However, for out of country artists, galleries, collectors…, we accommodate and help when we can. For emergencies we achieve the impossible, for the impossible we sometimes perform miracles! …
On-site assembly services:
For some projects, we travel to & complete the frame assembly & canvas mounting on-site (extensive art-collections, Foundations, …)
We confirm to a high benchmark for you framing requirements
Our goal is to make your experience at Atelier Glaz an enjoyable one. Through the choice of partnerships Atelier Glaz has established and the work we deliver, we hold ourselves and our partners to exacting framing standards.
We use ph neutral paper and mount boards, a range of various profiles of wood and aluminium mouldings. We propose a range of quality glazing: standard, anti-reflective and anti-UV glass (Artglass), as well as acrylic glass.
Our materials are selected from manufacturers based in France and Europe. We are also proud to work with 2 French EPV certified companies (EPV: Living Heritage Company).
EPV is the official French government certification awarded to companies who perpetuate rare & traditional expertise in arts and crafts.
Our maxim: fine art framing with exacting standards.
Restoring works of art
Clients often entrust Atelier Glaz with damaged artwork or old documents. The objective is to either restore a valued artefact to its original glory, or just to eliminate microorganisms.
Over time, we’ve built an eco-system of invaluable partnerships with restoration professionals who specialise in reviving works of art on paper, painting on canvas or wood, photographs, sculpture etc. We also work with a retorer of old frames.
